I have spent most of my
life admiring art and when I moved to the Keys I was
provided the opportunity to create full time and
continue to learn. Having lived in the North East and
the Caribbean and travelling extensively in Europe,
South America and Asia, I have found that the uniqueness
of an area is derived not only from the people and their
culture but its reflection of and in architecture and
natural resources. I enjoy exploring new areas through
that viewpoint, not only in life, but through my work. I
often use water to loosen up the paint along with
various mark makers to create distinctive patterns. The
Florida Keys and Key West offer a plethora of subjects
that allow me to explore my view point.
I was the recipient of an
Anne McKee Grant for 2015. My work has been chosen
twice for the Florida Keys Council of the Arts Culture
Magazine and has been used in promotional materials by
both the Arts Council and The Studios of Key West.
I currently exhibit my work at Frangipani Gallery in Key
West, Artists in Paradise Gallery in Big Pine Key and
Shady Palms Gallery in Marathon. My work has also been
exhibited in various Key West locations as well as
the Marathon Theatre and Fisherman's Hospital.
